Working at Globant

Well, it’s been a busy last few weeks since I started my new job at Globant! I greatly enjoy continuing to work as a Technical Writer and am happy to add Globant’s wide offering of opportunities under my belt. Needless to say, it’s been a busy month, but I’m always happy to get paid to write for my day job.

It’s fun working downtown too, and I’ve got a great view of the city and bay from the 23rd floor. My wife works nearby so we’re able to meet up from lunches sometimes, which is another plus. If you’re interested to learn more about Globant, you can check out their site here.

So how are things going for you this summer, so far? How do you incorporate writing into your day job? What are the little perks that make your day better?

  1. That's cool you can meet your wife for lunch. Do you guys have a ball crawl as well? Wonder how many thumb drives would be at the bottom if you did?

  2. Haha, my day job is being a mom so daydreaming is how I incorporate my writing into my everyday activities. I wonder if the laundry will ever end. Haha :)

  3. I have to write up trip reports for my job. Not the most glamorous writing but, its writing. Otherwise, when I travel for work, I get a lot of time to do my own writing :)

  4. Considering writing is my job, it works out perfectly for me.

I keep planning to go downtown and have lunch with my hubby, but it never happens. At least now you don't have an excuse as to why you can't have lunch with your wife, Mark.

  5. That is cool that you can meet your wife for lunch. I sometimes miss working in a big high-rise in the middle of the city.

  6. Yay for lunches with the lovely wife! That's a great way to split up the day. I'm struggling with writing this summer---almost like I need it to be cold or have a regular schedule to write or something. Only... a few more weeks to go? ;-)

  7. I would love to be paid to write. I just might spent more time doing that than my day job.

Glad you're enjoying your new employment! :)

  11. Awesome! Those lunch dates are precious; enjoy every minute of them. I teach writing to jr. highers, so the challenge is to make it fun when the kids have unfortunately moved up through the grades hating writing in general and essays in particular.

  12. Aw, it must be nice to be able to catch some lunches with your wife. My hubby and I work an hour away from each other. No snatched lunches for us!

  13. Writing in a ball pool would be the best! Glad it's all going well. I've taken on some freelance article writing this summer. Very nice to get paid to write for a change, even though it isn't a lot. :)
