Hi, All. Just got back from a trip to New York and Boston where I visited my sister studying at NYU. Thanks for your patience while I was on this temporary hiatus.
New York and Boston rock this time of year, not too hot and not too cold. In New York we saw the Statue of Liberty, the 9/11 Memorial, Newsies on Broadway, and the Museum of Metropolitan Art. In Boston we took the Freedom Trail, ate lots of great seafood, went to Fenway and Harvard, and did a daytrip out to picturesque Cape Ann. All in all, an awesome little vacation.
What are some places you like to go to in order to take a break or gain inspiration? Do you prefer museums on trips or nightclubs or something more outdoors? Where’s the next place you’d like to go when you get the chance?
Sounds like a great time. I'm so jealous. I love doing all those things.
ReplyDeleteI love the outdoors. I would love to go to the beach this summer and soak up the rays and let my thoughts wander. I may have to settle for a local lake rather than the ocean this year, but I'll take what I can get!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great time, Mark. New York and Boston are two places I so badly want to visit. Glad to see you back :)
ReplyDeleteBtw..I had emailed you the last chapter with few tiny changes. Now that you are back, I would like to know how are your rewrites going? You can send me any pages you want me to read.
How fun! I like to go to the beach. Any beach. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a good time with your sister. It sounds like you had a fun-filled adventure!
Sounds like a super fun trip. *jealous*
ReplyDeleteYou really got to see the sights! We just did a quick trip to Myrtle Beach which was much needed after the A to Z Challenge.
ReplyDeleteHello Mark:
ReplyDeleteWe certainly do envy you this visit as we have wanted, now more years than we can remember, to see New York. The Museum of Metropolitan Art would be an essential destination for us and, quite possibly, would leave little time for much else!
I've never been to Boston or New York. I would love to go during the spring sometime.
ReplyDeleteAlready did my dream vacation to Wales, but, of course, all I can do now is think about how to get back. :)
Until then, I get away by going to museums and plays when I can. Just got my tickets for Richard III and am quite stoked about it.
The Met rocks -- those suits of armor are something special + they had all manner of Monet the last time I visited.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a great trip!
ReplyDeleteI love the Metropolitan Museum. It's one of my all-time favorite places. I guess that tells you I prefer museums over nightclubs or the outdoors . . . :P
I LOVE the Met! Of course, I spent most of my day in the Hatshepsut rooms, until my husband dragged me out.
ReplyDeleteWe're headed to Europe in a few weeks--I can't wait!
Glad you had a great trip!
Oooh I've always wanted to visit New York and Boston. I enjoy pretty much anything--although I tend to avoid nightclubs:)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!

I know that Paul Revere statue! I live on the other side of the Charles River in Cambridge. And I lived in NY until about 10 years ago. Sounds like you had a good trip.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you hada great trip! Welcome back :)
ReplyDeleteMark, there is a surprise for you on my blog :)
ReplyDeleteI seriously need to go to New York. Always wanted to. Good to see you return! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks all! It was a great trip:) I'll have to parse it out more in further posts:)
